Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and commitment to bettering South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) solutions throughout an engagement with the company's senior administrators in a strategic setting up session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled while in the 2024 matric exams.

From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% from the registered pupils in the instruction sector.

These learners realized a commendable pass rate of 86%.

"This indicates that the expenditure national government is producing from the life of weak and susceptible young children is yielding a good impact in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe claimed.
